September Book of the Month - A Wild Sheep Chase

Well, I might as well get this book out of the way early, since it is not a book I have actually read this month, it's the first book I read of my favourite author and also my favourite book...

It's called A Wild Sheep Chase and it's by Haruki Murakami. Basically it's about, well... it's about a wild sheep chase! It's set in Japan, in Tokyo and also in Sapporo. I have a soft spot for it partly because as I said it was the first of Murakami's novels I read, but it's also a brilliant book in it's own right.

5/5 Stars! Read this one!

Peace out!

New job and other news

Ok, well I got a new job, I'm working as a paid housewife 5 days a week now, good pay and the people are really nice, I quit the carwash. Good news.

Not much news on the car project, polishing the rims, they look like they will come up awesome, so that's good too.

Went out to see what was meant to be Brian Gee and Skibadee last night, Skibadee cancelled for some reason but it was still the best show of my life and part of the best weekend ever. Got stoned and did a little dance, was mad fun.

People post some guestbook entries. Thankyou for yours Lilly!

Peace out!

Car Project - Finally off the ground!

Ok, well yeah, this has taken way too long and my soul was almost crushed by that, but it's finally happened, my car project now exists! :D

It's a 1980 4 door flat front 323 hatch. The ultra-proper rear wheel drive 323. Body is pretty straight, bit of rust, needs work, that's why it's called a project. The left indicator at the front is fixed now. For now we are putting the 1300 piston out of my brother's 808 wagz into it, but eventually when I have the money I'm putting a 12A bridge in it. Will be crazy!

August Book of the Month - Uncle Tungsten

Umm... yah, never posted a blog entry anywhere EVER before. So that would make this logically my first blog entry ever.

Today I'm here to tell you about the best book I've read in some time I think, it's called Uncle Tungsten, Memories of a Chemical Boyhood, and it's by Oliver Sacks.

It's basically about his childhood and how he became captivated by chemistry and the sciences, it's a very good and interesting read, touching at times. One thing it did for me was make me realise that if I ever decided to worship or even believe in any God, that god would be Hydrogen. Along with the chemical forces of the sun, it is the basis for all other elements, and therefore all matter and life.

Anyway, that's blog entry number 1, we'll see how the response is, if any, and maybe number 2 will be just round the corner!
